Project Engineer

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master of Science Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer Registration desired.
  • 7+ years relevant experience in the oil and gas, utilities or public works industry.
  • Working knowledge of engineering software and tools.
  • Supervisory knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Duties

  • Manage relatively small projects.
  • Assist Senior Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Principals in the delivery of larger projects.
  • Provide design, analysis, cost estimates, scheduling, planning, procurement, and construction services.
  • Review project scope and detect items which represent a change in work scope and bring to the attention of Senior Management.
  • Monitor and prepare project progress reports and track project cost.
  • Develop and manage effective project execution plans.
  • Monitor project schedule to assure timely deliverables.
  • Generate and maintain project specifications.
  • Obtain design information, as required to complete engineering designs.
  • Prepare or direct the preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, environmental and building permit applications, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for project.
  • Direct draftspersons and technicians to convert designs to working drawings.
  • Visit construction site to monitor progress and other duties per the contract documents.
  • Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
  • Perform design calculations and maintain design files.
  • Prepare project construction plans and specifications and develop design details.

Senior Engineer

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master of Science Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years relevant work experience in the oil and gas, utilities, or public works industry.
  • Professional Engineer Registration desired.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering software and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of design tools such as AutoCAD and MicroStation.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Duties

  • Design and supervise engineering projects.
  • Responsibilities also include estimating costs and personnel needs.
  • Prepare proposals and establish completion dates.
  • Prepare or direct the preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, environmental and building permit applications, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for project.
  • Direct draftspersons and technicians to convert designs to working drawings.
  • Visit construction site to monitor progress and other duties per the contract documents.

Qualifications

  • Direct draftspersons and technicians to convert designs to working drawings.

  • Coordinate with other engineers, project engineers, and project managers.
  • Conduct field investigations, construction observation, surveying work, etc.

Senior Technician

Qualifications

  • Associate of Art Degree or Trade School Certification in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years work experience using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
  • 5+ years relevant work experience in the oil and gas, utilities or public works industry.
  • Strong technical/mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standard drawing practices.

Duties

  • Transform initial rough product designs using computer aided design (CAD) software into working drawings.
  • Review engineering drawing and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
  • Develop maps, alignment sheets, and facility drawings per company and client standards.
  • Report to Engineering staff and/or CAD Managers for drawing revisions, mark-ups and comments.

Technician

Qualifications

  • Associate of Art Degree or Trade School Certification in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of industry standard drawing practices.
  • Strong technical/mechanical aptitude.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Duties
